Erap bought a special baseball bat, an inch short of 5-feet long, for his collection of sports paraphernalia.
From the mall, he was to take a bus to go home. To his surprise, the bus driver did not let him to bring his bat on the bus. He was told that the MMDA forbids bringing into the bus anything longer than 4 feet for the safety of the riding public.
To make sure that everyone complies with the ordinance, a line was marked at the bus door, 4 feet above the floor, for measuring.
After thinking about his situation, Erap thought he knew a way to get around the ordinance. He went back to the mall to get a box. Luckily for him, the special box he needed was readily available. He put his bat inside the box and soon the driver of the next bus allowed him bring his bat inside the box on his trip home.
