 | | Why we do not trust the politicians |

There are statesmen and there are politicians. Here is an
example of what separates statesmen from politicians and
why we do not trust the politicians:
In one Christmas season the government senators decided to
form two basketball teams and play against each other in the spirit
of the holiday season. The Blue Team members are the majority
senators and the Red Team members are the minority senators.
After the two teams are done playing basketball against each
other the Blue team issued a terse announcement:
"The Blues defeated the Reds. We are the better
basketball team!"
Not to be outdone the Red Team issued a press statement with
its own spin:
"The record speaks for itself. Our opponent, the Blues,
won just one game. But we, the Reds lost just once!"
Now, who are the statesmen and who are the politicians?
Oh, by the way, the Blues and the Reds played only one game.
